Hanoi to Siem Reap 16 day

Join along with the Hanoi to Siem Reap 16 day and discover the culture, life-style, beautiful sites while traveling from Vietnam to Cambodia. Both destination are among the must see in the region – tour start in Hanoi from where you opt for a 2 day 1 night on board the Halong Bay Cruise then you head north to visit Sapa on an overnight train, next, you will flight to Ho Chi Minh city via Hanoi where you spend a few days exploring largest city of Vietnam following by a visit to Delta of Mekong, finally your trip will come to an end in Siem Reap, Cambodia

The Hanoi to Siem Reap 16 day can be extended with a longer day stay including beach in either Mui Ne or Nha Trang in Vietnam or in Sihanoukville in Cambodia, make sure to go beyond the ordinary places and visit Cambodia tour packages 

Day 1 Hanoi

Welcome to Hanoi, an oriental capital city of Vietnam. Arrival and transfer to hotel. The rest of the day offers free time for you to explore the wide tree lined avenues, beautiful lakes, ancient pagoda’s and the thriving historic old city, all easily navigated on foot. Overnight Hanoi

Day 2 Halong Bay Cruise

This morning a scenic drive leads us to the stunningly beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay. Boarding a Halong Bay Cruise to sail through the emerald waters soaking up the panoramic vista of the thousand or so karst limestone islands that stud the bay.

Later opt for a refreshing swim in one of the many sheltered coves before taking row boats to the pristine ‘Dark & Bright Lagoon’. Tonight, there’s a Vietnamese cooking demonstration held on the sundeck before an impressive seafood dinner is served. Overnight sleep on board

Day 3 Halong Bay – Hanoi – Night Train to Sapa

Start the day with a Tai Chi class on the sundeck following by breakfast, after exploring a lofty grotto hidden beneath towering cliffs while Kayaking. After lunch, we drive back to Hanoi spend an hour or so exploring the Hanoi Old Quarter with an exciting cyclo ride before board an overnight train to Lao Cai, near Sapa

Day 4 Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van

Arrive in Lao Cai, pick up by our guide to transfer to Sapa town, breakfast in local restaurant.
In the afternoon, start walking for about 4 hours to visit Lao Chai – Ta Van and Giang Ta Chai to explore the life of ethnic minorities, admire the spectacular natural scenery with the terraced rice fields. Visit Sapa’s ancient rock with engraved images, then cross the picturesque Muong Hoa stream, Overnight stay at Giang Ta Chai Village

Day 5 Cat Cat village – Sin Chai

After breakfast, you will be trekking down to the South-west of Sapa (around 4 km) to visit Cat Cat village where the Black H’mong minorities are living. Relax at the foot of the amazing waterfall and the remnants of a hydroelectric power station that was constructed by the French during the colonial time, enjoy the folklore performance by ethnic peoples. Having picnic lunch by the riverside, and after lunch continue on for 5 km to Sin Chai, which is located at the foot of mount Fansipan. Drive back to Sapa by Jeep for an overnight stay in Hotel

Day 6 Free day in Sapa – Night train back to Hanoi

Free day in Sapa to spend day exploring Sapa’s hidden corner, or just stay in hotel for spa treatment, tongiht we board a train to travel back to Hanoi

Day 7 Hanoi sightseeing – flight to Saigon

After breakfast you will be enjoying a sightseeing day visiting key attractions of charming capital city of Vietnam, the visit lead you to see Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Temple of literature, famous Hai Ba Trung Temple and Vietnam history Museum, in the afternoon we get ready for a flight to Saigon. Arrive and cehck in for overnight stay

Day 8 Saigon tour

Our guide will pick you up for a sightseeing to visit central post office and the Notre Dame cathedral, war remnant museum, reunification palace and in the afternoon we visit bustling Binh thanh market, or opt for an optional motorbike food tour. Overnight Saigon

Day 9 Can Tho in Mekong Delta

An early morning pick up for a scenic drive to the Delta opf Mekong referred to as the ‘rice bowl’ of Vietnam, upon arrival we take sampan from Vinh Long and we’ll cruise downstream from Cai Be through the maze of coconut waterways watching the hubbub of daily life on the river. Passing colorful trading boats, house boats and children swimming we stop to visit some of the local cottage industries that produce popcorn, coco candies and paper along the way. Lunch is served today in a traditional wooden home on Dong Hoa Hiep Island. Overnight in Can Tho

Day 10 Floating markets

Today we visit the ever lively Cai Rang floating market. Watch as melons, pineapples, fresh greens, sacks of rice and children’s toys get tossed from one sampan to another at great heights and speed before driving back to Saigon.Arrive and free afternoon on your own

Day 11 & 12 Mui Ne Phan Thiet with Beach holiday

Our driver will pick you up for a scenic drive to Phn Theit from where you will spend a 2 day at the beach.

Day 13 drive back to Saigon – flight to Siem Reap

Drive back to Saigon, transfer to airport to board a short flight to Siem Reap in Cambodia, you will get your Cambodian visa upon arrival, our guide will pick you up and transfer to your hotel, rest of the day is at your own leisure to get prepared for the rest of the trip. Overnight in Siem Reap

Day 14 Angkor Wat

A day to visit the last capital of the Angkorian Empire – Angkor Thom. This monumental fortified city is encircled by a 100m wide moat and is famed for the huge statue heads that glare down from every angle. We continue to the monastic complex of Preah Khan before heading to the mother of all temples – Angkor Wat. This breathtaking monument of man’s devotion to his gods is believed to be the largest religious building in the world and contains thousands of wall carvings and extensive bas-reliefs. Day 15 Roluos temples and floating villages

This morning we visit the Roluos group of temples (Bakong, Lolei and Preak Ko), the earliest large and permanent temples built by the Khmers. The monuments mark the dawn of Khmer classical art, dating from the late 9th century, with elaborate inscriptions in the ancient Hindu language of Sanskrit. Later visit the floating village of Kompong Phluk. Houses built on soaring stilts hover over the Tonle Sap Lake whilst nearby, the petrified trees of a flooded forest are revealed whenever the water level drops. Overnight in Siem Reap
