Duong Lam ancient village day trip

Situated about 20km far from Hanoi center, when talking about Duong Lam village, we always see an old and traditional picture. It takes about one and half hour from Ha Noi to Duong Lam. Duong Lam Ancient Village has a history of about 1,200 years and is well-known for its surviving laterite brick houses, built three to four centuries ago. Laterite is red clay formed from weathered basalt found in northern Vietnam. The village is also famous nationwide as “the hometown of two kings”: Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung.

Up to now, through many thousand years, Duong Lam still maintains the features of pure Vietnamese ancient village with a variety of value.
