Northern Vietnam family holiday – is a 10 day vacation suit families with a bit of adventure style on their traveling habit, you will arrive in Hanoi where you will have a oriental city tour in the old quarter before visiting Tam Coc in town of Ninh Binh, the site is known as the Halong Bay on ground. Next, we will visit Halong Bay, a UNESCO heritage site that has been on the bucket list of many travelers since tourism is growing, you will sleep on family cabin on board the Halong Bay cruise.
Next we will travel to Sapa on board the overnight train to spend the last few days of your family vacation being in the lap of nature. In Sapa you visit Lao Chai, Ta Van, Cat Cat Village and many other interesting things that you wont be able to see anywhere else in Vietnam. Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be welcomed at Noi Bai Airport by our guide and drivers before transferring to hotel to check in and have time to relax. In the afternoon, you will have a half day tour going on foot around Hanoi Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, Temple of Literature. Your trip will be better if you try 1 hour on cyclo to discover 36 narrow-lined streets of Hanoi
Day 2: Hanoi – Tam Coc – Bich Dong (B/L/D)
After breakfast, our car and guide will pick you up to Hoa Lu – Ninh Binh. Hoa Lu is The Acient Capital where the remaining two temples of Dinh King & Le King are located. In this site, visitors will have a chance to climp up a higher place to take an overview of the marvelous scenery of mountains, rivers, temples in Hoa Lu. After that, we will visit Tam Coc (Three Grottoes) by car or by bike, go sightseeing and communicate with friendly local people then have lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant with a variety of local dishes.
PM: On taking an exciting boat ride in Tam Coc grottoes (usually called as “Halong Bay inland”) that we will enjoy a spectacular scenery while gliding along the river among rice paddy fields and ranges of limestone mountains. Overnight in Ninh Binh
Day 3: Ninh Binh– Halong Bay cruise (B/L/D)
In the morning, after having breakfast, we will depart to Halong Bay. In our trip in Halong Bay, first of all, you will embark on a luxury wooden junk boat then spending 2 days and 1 night on Ha Long Bay cruise. Sailing by huge intricate honeycomb rocks, hidden caves and enchanting lagoons, you can observe the stunning landscape and spy interesting shapes in the rocks. The ever-changing light, fog and clouds reflect off the waters of the bay, creating a magical and mercurial atmosphere.
Also on Halong Bay Cruise, you will be served different delicious, fresh local seafood at each lunch and diners. In the evening, the cruise will anchor for you spend time to glare and relax in the simmering light of night on the bay. Overnight on boat
Day 4: Halong – Ha Noi (B/L/-)
Early birds can attend a Tai Chi demonstration on the sundeck at the break of dawn. Start the day enjoying some Paradise delights with a colourful buffet breakfast. Continue exploring Halong Bay sailing across its 2000 islets and visiting some of its major highlights.In the afternoon drive back to Hanoi.
To start the second day on board, you can took up a Tai Chi class then enjoy some Paradise delights with an ample buffet breakfast before continuing exploring Halong Bay by sailing across its 2000 islets and visiting some major highlights. Day 5: Hanoi – Travel to Sapa on night train (B/L/D)
After having breakfast, we will begin our day trip by exploring several Hanoi sightseeing places such as Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum, One-Pillar Pagoda, Quan Thanh Pagoda. On the rest of the day, you can attend cooking class. At first, we will take a short walk to the Chau Long Market to buy some cooking stuff including the ‘wet’ / unusual fruits / livestock / silk worms, with Tracey Lister and/or HCC chefs. Then we go back to HCC, commence the cooking class with Tracey Lister and /or HCC chefs, take home printed recipes as well as samples of some local fruit, green bean cake, quail eggs, etc. On completion of the cooking class, let’s enjoy the meal and chat with your chefs. * relax in the comfort of the HCC dining area and enjoy free local beer, wine or lemon juice. At 8:00 pm, our tour guide will pick you up to the rail way station to take a night train to Lao Cai
Day 6: Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B/-/-)
Upon arrival in Lao Cai station, you are picked up by our driver and then transfer by bus to Sa pa. While walking from Sa pa towards Muong Hoa valley, we can admire magnificent landscape, discover the wonderful scenery of Hoang Lien mountain ranges and meet Black H’Mong tribes. Another interesting activity in Muong Hoa valley is trekking through terraced rice paddies and minority villages along the Muong Hoa River, where we can have a nice swim. We then cross the suspended bridge towards the Zay village, arriving at Ta Van where the Dzay ethnic people inhabit.Overnight in Sapa.
Day 7: Sapa – Cat Cat Villgage – Sin Chai (B/-/-)
After breakfast, you will be walking down to the South-west of Sapa (around 4 km) to visit Cat Cat Village where the Black H’mong people live. In the village, you can relax at the foot of the amazing waterfall and the remnants of a hydroelectric power station that was constructed by the French during the colonial time, now has become the place of minorities’ performances. It is quite amazing to spend 40 minutes to enjoy such performances. Having picnic lunch by the riverside, and after lunch continue on for 5 km to Sin Chai, which is After that, we will have a picnic lunch by riversides, then travel about 5km to reach Sin Chai, which located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, which is also known as “the roof of Vietnam and Indochina”. When reaching the peak of this mountain we can take a beautiful picturesque view before returning to Sapa by Jeep/van, Overnight in Sapa
Day 8: Sapa – Ethnic market – Lao Cai night train(B/-/-)
Having breakfast, you do check out the hotel. Transferring to one of the ethnic markets which is took place one time per week (there are about 10 markets for your choices depending on the date). After having experience of the local hill tribe culture, driving to Lao cai station to take the night train back to Hanoi
Day 9: Hanoi – Excursion to Bat Trang village
Back to Hanoi in the early morning, you have breakfast at the Old Quarter then check in hotel. Relax at the hotel. In the afternoon, you will join a half day tour to Bat Trang pottery village. This village is located in the southeast of Hanoi, passing Chuong Duong Bridge, turning right and going for more 10km along the dike of Red River. The guide will take you around the village to see the artisans at work and you have the chance to witness the process of molding and carving clay pots, dishes and vases. Here you can create pottery products by yourself. Then back Hanoi centre for dinner. Our tour ends.
