• Central Highland: This region, which includes some well-known names like Buon Ma Thuot, Dalat, Kontum, Ngoc Hoi, and Pleiku, is known for its lush forest-covered hills, indigenous tribes, and the occasional elephant.
• Southern Vietnam: This is Vietnam's economic engine, centered on Ho Chi Minh City but also encompassing the lush and little-visited Mekong Delta, the country's rice basket.
