Vietnam family holiday tour 12 day Hanoi to Saigon
Day 1 : Hanoi arrival
Arriving at Noi Bai Airport, our car and guide will pick you up to hotel in Hanoi. We then take a Cyclo tour through the Old Quarter, walking around the Hoan Kiem Lake and visiting the Ngoc Son temple. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi
Day 2 : Hanoi – Halong Bay full day (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we depart to Halong Bay from where you can enjoy a scenic cruise ride. When arriving Halong Bay, you will visit ‘’Thien Cung Cave” at first. Thien Cung Cave makes the visitors the impression of being in a heavenly world. After that, you will have time to enjoy kayaking around floating village to observe the wonderful daily life of fishing men on the bay. 16:30: You will return to Halong wharf and transfer back to Hanoi for an overnight stay
Day 3: Hanoi – Duong Lam village (B/L/-)
After having breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Duong Lam village – where two of Vietnam’s kings, Phung Hung (761-802) and Ngo Quyen (896-944) were born, giving the village its prestige. After having a tour around the village, you will have time to enjoy the special Vietnamese lunch prepared by local people.
In the afternoon, we continue to visit Mia Pagoda which was built in 15th century and admire 287 statues of all sizes before getting back to your hotel in Hanoi. On the way, if you’re interested, we can stop to visit either Tay Phuong Pagoda built in the 8th century, the best example of old typical pagodas in the North of Vietnam with 18 ancient Arhan statues; or Van Phuc silk village, the cradle of best silk in Vietnam once to learn about silk making process and do shopping finest silk products in Van Phuc village. Day 4: Hanoi –Hue (B/L/-)
After having breakfast, this morning you continue explore Hanoi sightseeing such as: Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and museum, one pillar pagoda, Quan Thanh pagoda. In the afternoon, you will transfer to the airport for your flight to Hue. When arriving in Hue, you will be picked up at the Phu bai Airport by our local guide and our driver then transfer to the hotel in Hue to check in. Overnight at the hotel in Hue
Day 5: Hue visit (B/L/-)
After having breakfast, you will take a boat trip along the Perfume River, visiting Thien Mu Pagoda considered to be the finest pagoda in Hue. To continue the trip we will visit the Khai Dinh tomb, the conical hat village in Hue, and Nha Vuon (Garden House).
In the afternoon, we will visit of the Imperial Citadel which is built on the same principles as the Forbidden City in Beijing. Accordingly, it is enclosed by thick outer walls (Kinh Thanh) of 23-33 feet, along with moats, canals and towers. There are ten gates, which pierce the four walls of the Citadel. Finally, we will visit the Dong Ba market, the biggest market in Hue.
Day 6 : Hue – Da Nang – Hoi An (B/L/-)
Tra Que – a little charming village lies on the edge of Hoi An. Tra Que Village is named after the sweetly scented vegetable which is the essential ingridient to make Hoi An specialities such as Cao Lau, Quang Noodle. Besides, you can also enjoy the interesting cooking class to make “Tam Huu” spring roll which is primarily made from Tra Que vegetables; or make pancake with meat (Banh xeo).
A.M: Experience half day living and working with the local people at the Tra Que vegetable village where you will have a chance to discover the daily life of the local farmers.
P.M: Free time at leisure to enjoy the calm town of Hoi An
Optional tour: Lantern making discovery – at 20usd/pax: you will ride a bicycle to the home of a craftsman in the city. Here you will get a brief introduction to the history, shape, and color of the lanterns as well as the stages of making. Then you will be shown how to decorate and make your own lanterns and keeps it for yourself as a souvenir. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 8: Da Nang- Ho Chi Minh (B)
When finishing your breakfast at the hothel, we will head to the airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh city, the biggest city of Vietnam. Arriving at the airport, you will be welcomed by our local guide and transfer to the city center to visit the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975, and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Sai Gon Post Office. Afterwards, we will visit the War Remnants museum, the China Town, Thien Hau pagoda and Ben Thanh market . Overnight at the hotel in Ho Chi Minh city
Day 9: Ho Chi Minh – Cu Chi Tunnels on speedboat (B/L/-)
You will start your day with morning hotel pickup and transfer to your luxury speedboat at Ho Chi Minh Pier. With our high quality teak vessel, you can travel comfortably to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, while enjoying some local fruits with unlimited refreshments on board. You can also observe the life along the riverbanks as your guide informs you about the local people’s river-based livelihoods. It is time to take photos of the Saigon River’s jungle-fringed canals and tributaries, where you might see houses on stilts or water buffalo at work.
When disembarking at Cu Chi Tunnels, you will be lead through the historic site, which has become the war memorial that features the impressive labyrinth of tunnels dug by Viet Cong guerrilla fighters during the Vietnam War (known in Vietnam as the American War). Tour sections consist of the 75-mile-long (121-km) complex, which played an important role in many Vietnamese military campaigns such as the Mau Than Lunar New Year campaign of 1968.
You can even slip into one of the narrow passageways to imagine how the supply routes and communications, hospitals, and food and weapons caches were operated underground. After experiencing the tunnels, enjoy your lunch on traditional Vietnamese fare at a riverside restaurant. After that, we will return to Ho Chi Minh City.
Day 10: Ho chi Minh – Phan Thiet – Mui Ne (B)
After having breakfast, you will check out of the hotel then depart to Phan Thiet which is about 220 km to the North of Ho Chi Minh City. When arriving in Mui Ne, Phat Thiet, you will check in at your resort or hotel and spend the rest of the day at your own or wander ring around the sandy beach. Overnight in Mui Ne
