With hundreds of bars and clubs to select from for a full night out, Ho Chi Minh is Vietnam's quintessential party city. However, the age-old quality vs. quantity debate may be moot in this case, as the city's nighttime culture is one of the most diverse in the region. There's something for everyone here, whether you're like eardrum-crushing vinahouse music, pleasant nights out with your buddies at a dance club, a low-budget night out for some cheap Saigon beers or some nice, dark underground techno.

 If you don't have any specific pubs or restaurants in mind, this busy area of Ho Chi Minh is a wonderful place to start. Take a stroll down Walking Strip, commonly known as Ho Chi Minh City's nightlife street. This vibrant portion of town is packed with travellers and locals 365 nights a year.

Republic

Republic, one of Saigon's largest clubs, is located in the bustling Ben Thanh area. Disco balls and strobe lights are part of the décor, and the youthful and sophisticated population of Saigon dances till 2 a.m. to resident DJs. Lush

Lush is a well-known brand in Saigon. You'll hear about it whether you've been in town for two days or ten years. Drinks are inexpensive, the music is loud, and the place is packed until 4 a.m. This club is the place to go if you want to have a fantastic time.

Calanis

Do you want to mingle with the locals while you're in Saigon? Canalis is where the Vietnamese go to party, so it's a good place to go if you're looking to get out of the backpacking rut. The spectacular light effects and live dancers are famed for this atmospheric megaclub. This is a terrific place to go if you're looking for something a little different on a Friday night. It's more like a live concert than a club.

Skybar

Chill skybar, Glow Skybar Saigon, EON Heli Bar in Bitexco Tower, Saigon Saigon rooftop bar...are the most famous skybar in the city. You can join any one of these if you do not know what to choose.

Candi Shop

Bam Bam

Inspired by the beautiful island of Bali, Bam Bam offers the best experiences of a tropical region, right inside a trendy bar. You cannot ignore the unique music line 1-0-2 when mentioning Bam Bam. Their playlists mainly showcase techno music, but there’s always something new to be heard whenever you pay Bam Bam a visit. The bar often has special guests, especially famous DJs in Vietnam and foreign underground circles like DJ Tung Tim, Breakbot, Eats Everything, Chromeo and many more.

Error 102

ERROR: 102 is an underground bar following the post-apocalypse concept. With the mainstream scarp-punk / diesel punk space, we built a playground specializing in electronic underground music.

The Alley Cocltail Bar & Kitchen

The Alley is the place to go in Saigon for excellent cocktails in a relaxing atmosphere. This chic Ho Chi Minh girly bar features an exposed brick decor (every hipster's dream) and cozy two-person tables ideal for romantic encounters. Most nights, live acoustic artists perform, adding to the intimate atmosphere. Drink prices are a tad high, but it's well worth it for a special occasion.

Hidden behind a tiny entrance up a tight stairwell, Firkin is the place to go for fine whiskey. The courteous bartenders can even mix you a bespoke cocktail based on your preferences, with over 250 bottles of whiskey (and more!). Are you looking for something sweet, sour, bitter, or spicy? Let them know, and they'll make you one that you'll adore. Remember to order from their bar menu as well.

Qui Cuisine Mixology

Qui Cuisine Mixology is the place to go for the prettiest drinks in town. The cocktails are served in swan-shaped cups, floral chinaware, and even gold tumblers, and are located in the center of District 1. You can order single drinks or ‘flowering bowls' for 4-6 people to share, made with opulent ingredients like coconut purée. From the beverages to the ambiance, this is one of Saigon's most atmospheric pubs, so don't forget to dress up!

 

  • Explore the city by scooter or jeep

Avoid the crowds at the tourist attractions by renting a scooter or join a jeep tour and exploring the city in the afternoon. Visit the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, City Hall, Opera House, War Remnants Museum, Jade Emperor Pagoda, and Nguyen Hue Walking Street, among other notable sights.

  • Dine along the streets

Vendors of street food in Ho Chi Minh City are like vampires in that they only come out at night. There are numerous individual and group stalls strewn across the city. After a long day at work, locals enjoy sitting on the pavements with a hot bowl of soup or a plate of rice. Two of the most popular street food alleyways are Co Bac and Co Giang. The majority of the dishes here are under a dollar.

  • Do some night shopping

Visit Ben Thanh  night market is one of the suggestion for tourist when have nothing to do at night. From early morning to late at night, Ho Chi Minh's Ben Thanh Market is a focal point. Even though the streets are busiest during the day, nighttime brings a slew of food vendors, as well as a slew of fashion and souvenir booths, to the streets.
