The Marble Mountains are a group of five limestone and marble hills in Da Nang. It's also a popular pilgrimage destination, with peaks, caves, tunnels, and temples just waiting to be explored. Marble Mountains, which are named for the elements metal, wood, water, fire, and earth, are located about 9 kilometers south of Da Nang in a coastal area known for stone-cutting and sculpture.

According to legend, a dragon arose from the water and placed an egg on Non Nuoc Beach. A thousand days and nights passed before the egg hatched and a beautiful girl appeared. The shell fractions were left on the beach and grew into the five mystical Marble Mountains.
Climbing up the Marble Mountains and taking in the amazing views of Non Nuoc, also known as My Khe Beach, is one of the most favorite activities nowadays. The Mountain of Water, with its 17th-century pagodas and caverns, is one of the most popular climbs, with a difficult journey up stone stairs to Tam Quan Gate and its spectacular views of Mount Kim Son or Metal Mountain and the shoreline from the Riverview Tower next to the gate. The Riverview Tower was built during Emperor Minh Mang's reign in the 18th century.
Van Nguyet Grotto, located nearby, is a great resting location where you may get a fresh coconut to drink. The Lantern Cave, which is small but deep and filled with lava, as well as Am Phu Cave, which leads down to a beautiful viewpoint, are both worth visiting.
Allow up to four hours to visit all of the Marble Mountains, so start early while the weather is cooler, wear comfortable shoes, and bring a torch if possible.
