Kon Tum – Battlefield Dalto Tan Canh

The region saw its share of combat during the American War. A major battle between the South and North Vietnamese took place in and around Kon Tum in the spring of 1972, when the area was devastated by American B-52 raids.

Day 1 Kon Tum – Battlefield Dalto Tan Canh (L)

8:30 Guide to pickup from hotels in Kontum. Follow Highway 14, along the visit the high point of 601 (17 Km from Kon Tum). Continue driving to Dak To, visit Đaktô-Tân Canh monument, where the Gallery 2 the tank involved battles (red summer in 1972). Continue to the Phoenix Airstrip (the largest airport in Kon Tum province in Vietnam war, look the Hill Charlie and Rocket Ridge from the Phoenix airport.

Back to Kon Tum for lunch.
In the afternoon, take a look around to see airports around Kontum Kontum, B15, B12 (Mike Force Base during the war) area MACV. 

End the tour at 16:00-16:30.
