Vietnam considers 'vaccine passports' to resume international commercial flights

The Prime Minister of Vietnam asked relevant ministries and agencies to consider and study step by step reopening international routes, well preparing plans to apply "vaccine passport" and controlled trade.

The epidemic situation in the world tends to decline. Immunization is deployed on a large scale in many countries, and is being deployed urgently in Vietnam according to the roadmap. 

The Prime Minister of Vietnam said he had received an advice from the Travel Advisory Council to reopen international routes. He asked the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to study these recommendations as well as consult other countries' experiences to make a specific proposal to the Government. 

In addition, he also asked the Ministry of Health to perform well vaccination against COVID-19, ensuring safety, with the right people, towards vaccinating the entire population. The Ministry of Health will also coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies to consider appropriate anti-epidemic measures when applying "vaccine passport".
