Pleiku - is the capital of the province Gia Lai and it's located in the center of the Central Highlands atop a vast and fertile plateau of red volcanic soil, which is surrounded by mountains and valleys formed by volcanic activity, which took place 25-30 million years ago. Gia Lai is sandwiched between the provinces of Dak Lak and Kon Tum. The provincial capital of Pleiku is located at the intersection of two major roads in the highlands: Routes 19 and 14, making it the starting point for any kind of exploration in the Highlands.

Day 1 Pleiku full day tour (L)

Pick up at hotel lobby, then start full day city tour at Pleiku:

  • Sea Lake (T’Nung Lake) to enjoy the quiet landscape, fresh air and peaceful landscape. T’Nung Lake is actually an oval-shaped crater of an extinct volcano. The blue and clear water of the lake is the reason for it to get the nickname ‘Pleiku’s Eye’.
  • Transfer to Dektu & Dekrol villages for sightseeing and exploring the Banar’s culture with the Rong house that is the centre of village cultural and ceremonial life.
  • A cemetery of the Banar with the wooden statues, gongs, wine jars and other items of family property are placed in the funeral house.

Lunch at local restaurant.

  • Continue to Admire the unique architecture of Minh Thanh Pagoda, a beautiful Taiwanese architecture which is quite rare to be found in Vietnam.
  • Gialai Museum of Ethnology, you have a chance to learn more about the Bahnar and Jarai people’s culture.
  • Continue on to visit Pleiku former prison 
  • Free for shopping at Pleiku local market.
